This week has flown by for the Terrific Tigers who have had lots of fun!
At the beginning of the week we celebrated Bonfire Night by creating a number of Firework inspired pieces of artwork using powder paint in forest school as well as natural materials and we also created Jackson Pollock inspired splash paintings.
In literacy we also used fireworks as a stimulus and talked about our experiences of firework displays as well as watching some videos. We then worked together to think of words to describe fireworks such as: banging, crashing, zooming.
In Maths we have been looking at 1 more and 1 less as well as practising sequencing numbers to 10.
For the rest of the week we talked about the reason why we wear poppies. The children enjoyed a number of Remembrance Day themed activities such as creating poppies using play dough and collage materials as well as watching a fantastic Cbeebies video that we watched and discussed.
